Admission Criteria
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) score 6.5 or equivalent

Academic requirements and equivalence to Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy
Applicants should hold a Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy from a school recognized by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.
Those not having a bachelor of science in Occupational Therapy will have to submit an extensive professional portfolio demonstrating their academic competences. The admission committee will look into each case individually and consider whether the person concerned has attained the required level by previous work or study, and can be considered to be equivalent to a Bachelor of Science in occupational therapy.
Applicants, who cannot show their level of mastery of competencies in the five basic areas described in the Dublin Descriptors in their professional portfolio, can work towards enhancing their level of mastery of these competences by taking one or more of the three extracurricular Master Qualifying Courses, delivered by the consortium specifically for the OT-EuroMaster.
Applicants holding a BSc. degree in an other discipline takes the Master Qualifying Course focussing on the foundations of Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science and the independent research oriented project within the Occupational Therapy discipline.
After successful completion of these Master Qualifying Courses you will receive a certificate, and you will be considered to be equivalent to a bachelor of science level in occupational therapy by the OT-EuroMaster programme and accepted as a student to the OT-EuroMaster programme.
Important parameters in scrutinizing the applications will be the number of years of secondary education prior to professional training and the study load (at least three years = 180 ECTS = 5040 hours) of Occupational Therapy training.
Within the undergraduate Occupational Therapy training the focus on the topics:
- the quality and quantity of basic research methodology
- the foundations of Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science
- independent research oriented project in the discipline of Occupational Therapy
Required skills in English (written and oral)
Applicants should have skills in English, both written and oral on the level of International English Language Testing Service (IELTS, score 6.5)
Required mastery of entrance competences for the European Master of Science in Occupational Therapy
Competences based on Dublin descriptors on Bachelor of Science level:
- Knowledge and understanding is supported by advanced text books with some aspects informed by knowledge at the forefront of their field of study
- Applying knowledge and understanding through devising and sustaining arguments
- Making judgments involves gathering and interpreting relevant data
- Communication of information, ideas, problems and solutions
- Having developed those Learning Skills needed for a further further study with a high level of autonomy
Selection of the candidates
A mixture of students from different countries is essential to the programmes rationale and this will be taken into consideration in the selection process. Those otherwise satisfying the criteria will be placed on a waiting list. No more than thirty students will be admitted.
